Gladys Laclede, Bea Larson, Jim Draper, Rachel Garbee and Peg Bixler share a table and a photo op in the library of The Hermitage, a senior assisted living community in Alexandria. Peg is the veteran in the group and does her best to welcome newcomers and help with any “transition blues” some new residents experience. That is, of course, when she’s not out walking or volunteering with a number of local cultural and charitable organizations.
