Dr. John Word, principal of Kenmore Middle School, illustrates a math project that was an art expression of “2 to the power.” The students painted the first hanger red, then attached two pink hangers on the bottom, then four purple hangers, then eight blue ….” This was on exhibit at the Phillips Gallery and the U.S. Department of Education.
