Nancy White, executive director of the Arlington Free Clinic, was a physical therapist by background and volunteered at the the clinic for 12 years before becoming director in 2015. She did a health policy job before coming to her current position, and is particularly concerned that many people think the Affordable Care Act has solved the problem of the uninsured. “Sometimes you don’t see how bad it is for them,” she said. “Some of our diabetes patients were using cat insulin they buy at Costco because it was cheaper.”
